Start with your scoring rules
Fantasy results depend on the rules of the league you are discussing. Record the sport, season, scoring settings and roster positions before comparing players. A points total from one format is not automatically comparable with another. This desk provides a place for free analysis and notes; it does not run a paid contest or manage entries on another service.
Separate records from projections
Completed performance describes what happened. A projection is an estimate of what might happen next. Build notes around usage, opportunity, the relevant sample and changes in a player's role, then identify what remains unknown. A small run of strong results should not be presented as a guaranteed future pattern, and a projected score should never be displayed as a completed result.
Check the original sources
Use the league's own statistics and, for NFL availability, its injury-report page. Record the season, reporting period and time checked.
Keep uncertainty in the note
A useful comparison explains why two players differ and where that explanation could fail. Write separate confirmed, uncertain and recheck fields. If a status or statistic has not been checked, leave it unverified instead of filling the gap from memory. No local result should claim automatic injury monitoring, live updates or lineup optimization unless those functions actually exist and have been verified.
