One clear purpose for every piece
Explain what the reader will learn or be able to do. Use short paragraphs, informative headings, descriptive buttons and a useful next step. A card introduces a story; it should not repeat the entire article.
Separate the past, present and future
Historical work names dates and sources without disguising an archive image as a current scene. Present coverage displays when its sources were checked. Future coverage explicitly identifies a proposal, planning guide or outlook. A proposed project, event or partner must not become a completed fact through wording.
Evidence before assertion
Use primary records where possible, compare conflicting accounts and explain unresolved details. Original reporting requires actual firsthand work. AI-assisted source research is labeled as such. An article’s source list should support its specific claims, not simply point to a familiar homepage.
Cultural Imprint Engine
CIE reviews content and assets for cultural and community fit through CrownThrive’s governed scoring service. Its public panel identifies the available assessment, version and review status. A score is one part of publication review; it is not proof that every claim is correct or every right has been cleared.
Intake records require an assessment tied to the exact content revision before they can pass the CIE publication gate. Missing, stale or incomplete assessments remain review-required. Sources, rights, moderation, permissions and applicable payment checks remain independent gates. CIE never scores a person’s worth, religion, political affiliation or medical traits. Private scoring calibration and sensitive review evidence are not public.
Images, video and accessibility
Every editorial image needs a source, creator credit, reuse basis, accurate caption and useful alternative text. Use different images where they add meaning; preserve the exact place and date of an archive image. A generic scene is not documentary evidence of a local event. External videos load only after a reader chooses them. Captions and player accessibility depend partly on the provider, and a direct source link remains available.
Independent voices and community care
Advertising and sponsorship are labeled. Payment never buys favorable reporting, a higher review rating or exemption from review. Discuss ideas and public actions; do not publish threats, harassment, private contact details, fabricated accusations or identifying information about children. Follow the community guidelines.
Corrections and lasting records
Corrections are free. Significant changes retain their reason and revision trail. A rollback restores an earlier record only after applicable publication checks; it does not erase the audit history. Send the exact URL, disputed statement and supporting evidence through the corrections desk.
Make the mobile experience the standard
Use a readable single-column flow on small screens, labeled form fields, visible focus, touch targets and enough space above fixed navigation. Do not hide required actions behind horizontal overflow. Respect reduced-motion settings. Test the page, its empty state and its main task before release.
Limits and service status
The Junction is a community publication, not a government agency, emergency service, financial adviser or medical provider. Schedules, public datasets, listings and external media can change.
