A useful skill is more specific than AI expertise

Those distinctions matter for a worker deciding what to learn next. This outlook does not promise a new job title.
It proposes a practical skill that can be demonstrated now: checking whether an automated draft actually matches the evidence and instructions it was supposed to use.
Build a small checking exercise
Choose public, non-sensitive material, such as an event notice or equipment description. Ask an approved tool to produce a short summary, then compare every date, name and factual statement with the original.
Record an omitted qualification as well as an invented detail. Never upload private customer, employee or business information merely to make the exercise look realistic.
A good sample shows the source, the draft, your corrections and the final version, so another person can inspect the work rather than accept a claim of accuracy.
Know which decisions need escalation
A reviewer should be able to recognize when a task exceeds their knowledge or authority. A convincing medical statement, legal interpretation or payment instruction requires an appropriate source and decision-maker; fluent wording does not provide that authority.
In ordinary office work, a reviewer may be responsible for formatting and factual comparison while a supervisor approves the final action. Make that boundary clear.
The goal is a dependable work process, not a person silently accepting responsibility for every conclusion an automated system produces.
Keep evidence of improvement
Track the kinds of errors you catch and the changes that reduce them. Can clearer source material prevent a recurring mistake?
Does a checklist help the next reviewer? These observations can become a useful portfolio sample if all permissions and privacy requirements are met.
Future tools will change, so a course tied only to one interface may date quickly. The more durable habit is being able to explain what was checked, which source supports it and what remains uncertain before the result is used.
