The names behind Chatham Hall’s spring 2026 sports honors

Chatham Hall’s May 28, 2026 awards report preserves achievement across a broad spring program. Antonina Lubińska ’26 received the soccer Coaches’ Award.

Autumn Jones ’26 was named dance MVP, while Chrisette Jones ’26 shared a dance Coaches’ Award with Anaiah G.C. ’26.

The school also honored Lainey Risley ’26 with the Alice Richter All Around Horsewoman award. Other published recognitions included Allie M. ’27 as soccer MVP, Virginia B. ’29 as track and field MVP, Yvelisse C. ’28 as golf MVP and Hawkins D. ’29 as the IEA program’s Most Valuable Rider.

The archive keeps names in the form the school published, including initials. That allows students’ achievements to remain visible without inventing identities.

It also gives riding, dance and individual sports the same permanent place as the more frequently covered team games.

A longer athletic tradition

The school’s April 28, 2026 history, written by Corinna Hedge Howell ’12, places its first gymnasium in 1914. It records a pool, tennis courts and a four-hole golf course in 1927, followed by the Chatham Athletic Council in 1931.

The spring awards are one recent chapter in that longer story of girls’ competition and leadership. Preserving both the earlier institutions and the athletes recognized today gives future readers more than a list of trophies: it gives those achievements a place and a context.
