What the numbers mean

“State salary,” “Bonuses” and “Total salary” follow the publisher’s field labels. They do not establish an employee’s current base rate, take-home pay, bank payment, overtime breakdown or employer-paid benefits. We retain the reported total rather than recalculating it.

  • 629 bonus fields are blank in the source. “Not supplied” preserves that distinction from a reported zero.
  • 20 records have a reported total more than one cent different from salary plus bonuses. Those rows carry a note.
  • Negative amounts appear in 89 salary fields, 113 bonus fields and 93 total-salary fields. The source does not explain each adjustment here; the values remain unchanged.
  • Source row 2 is the first data row after the CSV header. A row number is a record reference, not a person’s identity.
